LOL, not a problem, I married a High school “Reading” Teacher with a Masters+ 30. I have come,( at 70), to accept my flaws and let everyone else adjust or move on…..

Well, I guess you’re right, it probably was a bit “nitpickie.” I guess that’s what’s happened to me after a lifetime of being a university literature teacher and reading thousands most awfully written essays and having to correct them. These things just jump out at me

No Problem Martin, I didn’t take it as a “Personal Attack”, I just felt that with all of the “misinformation” and “Bald faced Lies” in print these days, it was a tad “nitpickie”.

One sentence in twenty Pages, “congratulations”. First; I am not the writer, nor am I the “Editor”. Second; I am not Campaigning for any Politician or Political Party, because 90% of ALL of them are “FOR SALE” and post “Citizens United” you can count on that becoming worse,(Short of a Revolution)………

The problem with this article can be summed up by two words: careless writing. Read this again:
“All totalitarian repressive tactics such as unchecked surveillance, imprisonment without charge, summary execution, the right to a lawyer, the right to know the charges brought against you and confront your accuser, and so on, have been destroyed by legislation and presidential fiat.

So this sentence says that “all totalitarian repressive tactics . . . have been destroyed by legislation and presidential fiat.” By the same token, the sentence also says that “the right to a lawyer, the right to know the charges brought against you and confront your accuser” are “all totalitarian repressive tactics . . .”

This is either really bad writing or really bad editing. In either case, it makes it difficult for an attentive reader to take the article seriously. That’s a shame.
